The Manquen Vance – RDS Services Team showed up by filling all of our collections boxes for our annual Gleaners Food Drive! Thanks to all of those who gave generously by food purchases OR giving donation$ online.
In southeast Michigan, nearly 300,000 children receive free or reduced-fee meals at schools. During the summer months many of these children are forced to go without the free breakfasts and lunches they relied on during the school year. To help combat this issue, Gleaners started the Hunger Free Summer campaign. For the past 25 years, local businesses have been working with Gleaners to help provide these important summer meals. What started as the Food Fight on Big Beaver in Troy is now the Hunger Free Summer Food Fight and includes groups of all sizes participating throughout the entire metro Detroit area.
